Ryan Scramstad

Artisic Director

Ryan is a husband, a father, and comes from a background in professional acting and youth leadership. He is thrilled to head up the Jesters team, where he gets to combine these two big passions in his life. Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts and also completed the apprenticeship program at Pacific Theatre in Vancouver. He loves helping youth see their own inherent value, and believes the performing arts is one of the best tools in which to do that. He believes no one is alive by mistake, and fostering the creative sense inside of yourself will help anyone value what they can uniquely offer the world. Ryan is also an avid board gamer and enjoys throwing down the gauntlet to all would-be challengers.

Michelle came to Jesters to share her love of people, diversity, and community engagement. She enjoys working with youth and helping create opportunities for them to experience how specially they have been created. Despite having two left feet and no improv capabilities herself, Michelle loves the inclusiveness that Jesters promotes within the group and is encouraged by sharing God-stories with the youth. A mother of three and one daughter-in-law, and wife to her best friend Pat, Michelle is a self-proclaimed extroverted-introvert who loves comical surprises, Aha moments and seeing the world through the eyes of a child.

Rahul

Assistant Program Director

Hi! I’m Rahul! I’ve been around Jesters since it started, and I’ve loved it since day one. Throughout my years I’ve played as a spy, fairy, and a various assortment of dads. Some things that I enjoy doing are climbing, hiking, and according to a student, “working at Jesters”. I also have a “Soupy Cup” (Cup that says soup)

You can volunteer with us!

From our amazing volunteers and parent helpers to staff and financial supporters, there are so many ways to support local youth and our programs for them.

Running our programs takes a team of people in many different roles, using a variety of passions and skills. We would love to chat with you about where you might best fit in.

You can also donate!

We love what we do and we believe that it makes a huge difference in the lives of the children that are able to go through our programs. The reality is that programs like ours need funds to run. From props, makeup, costumes, and paying staff, we can’t operate without the generous support of donors like you. Thank you for taking the time to give.
