When do I find out if I got the job? The nature of the Canada Jobs Program is such that we are given notice of our acceptance by late April or early May. While this is inconvenient, we have found that we have been able to successfully obtain our higher paying grants predictably for many years and under our new government, last year we were awarded with the Student Staff grants for the first time. (see position descriptions below)
What will I be doing?
The jobs listed below are aimed towards the preparation and fulfillment of summer theatre programs in Mission. We will hold one Leadership Program, two Theatre Camps, two Musical Theatre Camps, Fundraisers (including a Bottle Drive and a Krispy Kreme event), a Writing Club and a Fall Theatre Kick Off Event. Together our staff will use their collective gifts and abilities to create a successful summer program through administration, training, teaching, leadership and mentoring. Committees will be established within our staff, volunteers and student leaders focusing on team development and creativity. Lastly, as a missionary position, salary not covered by the government (that portion above minimum wage) and personal expenses and training must be raised by each student. This is done through a support letter which is sent to family and friends who will not only support you financially, but pray for you as you begin this important work.
