Jesters Theatre has two main goals:
1. To inspire young people to love theatre and dance – both acting and backstage
Our students will learn basic acting, dance and backstage skills such as lighting, set design and costuming according to their interests.
2. To experience the joy of giving to families in need.
This fall, our shows support these two programs:
Food For the Hungry Canada: Food for the Hungry is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to ending poverty – one community at a time. With partners like you, FH walks alongside the most vulnerable communities throughout the developing world as they strive toward sustainability. Recognizing that each community faces unique challenges as well as advantages, FH is committed to an integrated, holistic approach to development including priorities such as agriculture, education, health, and gender equality.
The Julian Osis Legacy Fund: In honour of our dear friend Julian Osis, who passed away in the spring of 2017. Julian was an wonderful young man who loved C.S. Lewis; we dedicate our production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to his memory.
Past Charities we have supported: Youth and Parent Adventure Retreats, Stepping Stones Teen Parent Program, TeamBASE (an outdoor recreation program for youth), MY House, Operation Christmas Child, and the Mission Food Bank.
So far our Jesters family has given over $12,000 to global and local causes!!
Jesters Theatre is operated by Youth Unlimited and was launched in September 2011. Jesters Theatre currently has two permanent staff Sharon Wiebe and Tiani Foster.
“One major motivating drive that pushes Youth Unlimited staff and volunteers at Jesters Theatre is the desire to see youth and young adults reach their full potential. Our theatre program equips students to discover and trust in their abilities, securing confidence to live a healthy life which opens doors to change our community and the world.”

Sharon has served in a number of roles at Jesters Theatre and along with Jessica Garwood, was the founder in 2011. Sharon has enjoyed seeing the Jesters Family grow and feels a strong connection with the youth and families there. Her desire is to build confidence in young people and give them purpose for life. Sharon has years of experience in theatre and a BA in Youth and Counselling. She loves sushi and Arabian horses!
Tiani Foster: Theatre Manager
Tiani joined the permanent staff of Jesters in the fall of 2015. She first fell in love with live theatre when she played a Who citizen in a middle school production of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and has spent as much time backstage and onstage as possible ever since! She loves to work with children and youth, and has enjoyed many years of serving with church ministries, summer camps, and local and international outreach programs. A few of her other joys include travelling, picnics, and anything with cinnamon.
